Kobayashi discovers that Godzilla is a prehistoric creature that was frozen deep in the ocean. The atomic bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki awakened Godzilla from his slumber, and the radiation from the bombs turned him into a monster.
Kobayashi develops a plan to help Godzilla. He creates a machine that can generate a wave of energy that will cure Godzilla of the mutations caused by the radiation.
Kobayashi and his allies manage to take the machine to Godzilla. The machine activates, but does not fully function. Godzilla is cured of his mutations, but he is still a powerful monster.
The Japanese government decides to use water pressure to destroy Godzilla. They build a huge underwater barrier that directs water pressure towards Godzilla.
The barrier activates, and the water pressure is directed towards Godzilla. Godzilla is hit by the water pressure, and he begins to collapse.
